How Accordly treats sources
Version 1, effective September 14, 2026
Accordly is a private place for structured disagreement. Source Context is cited context about a Source organization. It is not Accordly deciding whether that organization is trustworthy, biased, or correct about a specific article.
Accordly authors no bias, factuality, or credibility judgments. Assessments come only from named, commercially licensed Approved evaluators. For this beta that evaluator is Media Bias Fact Check. Each assessment shows Media Bias Fact Check's exact label, the line "Ratings by Media Bias Fact Check," a link to that organization's report on their site, and the date Accordly last reviewed the claim.
Accordly does not average evaluators, synthesize a house score, or publish an Accordly-branded credibility number. If more evaluators are admitted later, every available assessment from each of them is shown, including disagreements. Accordly does not pick the flattering one.
If Media Bias Fact Check has not rated an organization, that absence is a coverage fact, not a verdict. Unknown is not a judgment.
Assessments appear only while a commercial license is in force. If it is not, Source Context may still show identity and description. It will not show unlicensed or invented ratings.
Source Context does not verify whether a specific claim or article is true. It is not a ranking of trustworthy news. It is not Accordly's method for scoring bias.
